This letter is written to express my appreciation for the wonderful work you did building my addition in downtown New Haven. Tying into a historic house with many challenges in framing and design is not easy, but you did a superb job. I am very pleased with the result. You are a pleasure to work with because you are perfectly straight forward, serious, and consistent. When communicating estimates, handling materials acquisition, scheduling work activity and coordinating workers and subcontractors, I always felt fully informed and comfortable. You worked from start to finish on my job daily and completed the project without interruption in a short period of time. You are a skilled carpenter, with a great sense of design and detail which made the building look really great, especially considering that the plans were sketchy. I look forward to continuing other aspects of my project with you this spring. And finally, thank you so much for giving me a very fair price and following through.

I contracted with DiTorre Building & Services for the rehab/conversion of my New Haven brownstone into an office. DiTorre Building & Services is one of the best contractors that I have dealt with. Nelson responded to all of my concerns and ideas. He gave me a call every time projects were completed and kept me informed every step of the way. Workers cleaned up at the end of everyday. Because of the work quality and personal touch, I referred Nelson to family members for home improvements. Without hesitation, I would recommend DiTorre Building & Services to any one who, not only wants quality workmanship, but wants the reliability of contractors that actually show up to get the job done!

New front entrance was made (Portico), new front and rear doors installed, new gutters, repaired and replaced rotted trim and siding, repaired and replaced damaged sheet rock through out the house, new shutters installed, leak in roof repaired, interior walls and ceilings painted and exterior siding, trim and soffits. The job went very well. Workers cleaned up at the end of everyday. Nelson Torres always responded to my phone calls and always had the time to answer my questions. My real estate agent was very impressed with the job and is listing my house with my investment doubled.

Installed a door I picked out. Extended the jamb. Reinstalled my old trim to match the rest of the living room. When he arrived he immediately noticed that the door I bought did not exactly match the depth of the wall. He told me what would be needed to make it work and how much it would be. While his crew were installing the door he (Nelson Torres) went out and picked up the extra materials. The door was finished and looks good.

Re-framed a water-damaged sun room, replaced 6 windows and a 6 foot sliding door. Replaced gutter and installed siding to remodeled section. Nelson quoted the complete job and gave me several options. I chose to have him do the framing and the outside work and I installed the insulation, sheet rock and flooring myself. I wish I would have just had him do it all.

Built a large custom deck with 2 sets of stairs and a separate reinforced area for a hot tub. Also, made a fish-bone design with the decking, using all stainless steel fasteners. He was prompt, Professional, and accurate in quoting the job. He handled everything as planned. I was kept informed about everything from when materials would arrive, to dates code inspections would take place. He even accepted my Hot Tub delivery and helped them place it in the correct place when I wasnt able to be there. Everything went as planned, to budget, and Nelson and his crew were considerate and hard working. The job was finished on time.

He did some plumbing work and replaced a ceiling. He is one of the best people that I have dealt with in a long time. I am extremely happy with him. He came when he said he would come, it was so nice to deal with someone like that!

This was a total gut and remodel from start to finish, two bedroom condo. They remodeled the whole unit. Insulation, Sheetrock, floors, kitchen (Granite counter tops, cabinets (crown molding), and appliances), Painting and hung doors too. They are from Connecticut and highly recommended through friends from New Canaan, Connecticut. On special request, the contractor took on my project, and we are grateful for that. They were professional, courteous and completed the job to satisfaction. Just as you would expect from a professional, on time, courteous and right to the point. I called, they answered, we set up the appointment, he showed up, gave me a proposal and everything was golden from that point.

They repaired and refinished my living and dining room floors, which had to be partially replaced due to age and water damage. They did a wonderful job. It was done in the amount of time they estimated, they were meticulous in every aspect. The attention to detail was fantastic. They were courteous and neat. I was very pleased and would hire them again, and I recommend them highly.
