      General Info
      Opened in 1992, the University of Miami Sylvester is a cancer center and specializes in the cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. The university serves more than 1,400 inpatients and offers over 3,000 surgical procedures. The center provides a range of facilities, such as an outpatient clinic, a 40-bed inpatient unit, surgery center and dermatology clinic. Additionally, the center has various departments, including cardiology, radiology, pharmacy and oncology. The University of Miami Sylvester s other facilities include the spine institute clinics, on-site laboratory and a cafeteria. The center offers treatment for various types of cancers, including lung, breast, eye, vaginal, oral, pediatric, kidney, prostate, and bone and tissue cancers. In addition, it provides treatment for neurological, bladder, and stomach and esophageal cancers. The University of Miami Sylvester is located in Miami.
