- Dental ExaminationWe begin with routine exams and cleanings so we can get a better idea of your mouth’s and teeth’s condition. If we notice any problems, like cavities, infection, or gingivitis, we’ll let you know what we find and what our recommended treatment is.
- X-rays
- Teeth CleaningYour first appointment at Northwoods Dental will usually consist of an examination, personalized discussion about your oral health, and review of your treatment options. Usually, a teeth-cleaning or treatment can begin the same day. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., pre-medications, aspirin, etc.).
- Fillings
- VeneersYou can with minimal prep veneers! Here is a before and after picture of a patient of Northwoods Dental who had minimal prep veneers done to their front teeth.
- CrownsTimely endodontic treatment can save a tooth because the inflamed and infected tissue is removed and the space is then filled and sealed. After the decay is removed, the infected and inflamed pulp is removed and the space is filled, patients can return to the Northwoods Dental cosmetic dentist and have a crown or other restoration placed on the tooth which will restore it to full function.
- BridgesOne of the newer technologies in dental Crowns and Bridges is creating them with crystal Zirconia. Yes, Zirconia is the stuff made famous for simulating diamonds, but this same material is a great substructure for tooth restoration. Zirconia is stronger than the metals often used in Crowns and Bridges and is also more translucent.
