Charles has worked various assignments during his career including, undercover narcotics, internal affairs investigations, gang investigations, general property crimes, background investigations, and complex investigations. Charles has his basic, intermediate, advanced, and supervisory P.O.S.T. certificates. In 2012, Charles received a prestigious award as distinguished officer from the Modesto Police Department. Charles retired from the Modesto Police Department in 2013.
