- Fluoride TreatmentThe Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Dr. Schneider will then apply the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure.
- FillingsNo one wants to get a cavity, but it is a common dental issue. Traditionally, these cavities were remedied with a silver filling. Amalgam fillings, or metallic fillings, have been around for years and have been used by dentists to complete many cosmetic procedures. While using this procedure is indeed very effective, there are a multitude of controversies surrounding the safety and appearance of them.
- Resin CompositeThe traditional material for filling cavities has been gold or silver amalgam. Today, we can fill those cavities with material that looks identical to your original teeth. The material is a durable, composite resin that can be shaded so that only a trained dental professional will be able to tell the difference. Composite fillings can withstand moderate pressure and can be used on both the front and back teeth for small to medium sized fillings.
- VeneersVery little of the original tooth structure is removed, yet bonding can create a more esthetically pleasing and vibrant look. And composite veneers can often be beautiful solutions at a fraction of the cost of porcelain.
- CrownsInlays are designed to replace missing tooth surface that occurs on one cusp the top of a tooth. Onlays are the same, except they are more extensive since they cover two or more cusps of a tooth. Both can be an alternative to more extensive crown work, or complementary to other procedures such as bonding.
- BridgesWe use the very best laboratories and technicians to custom create and fit your crowns and bridges for strength, endurance and appearance. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes, enhancing the appearance of a tooth that is discolored or misshapen. If your teeth have been badly damaged or need structural integrity and support, dental crowns can be an effective treatment option. Our crowns are shaped and colored like a natural tooth to restore strength and eliminate discomfort. As always all of these restorations are done with the same careful planning and design to give you superior results.
- Dental BondingDental Bonding is a process where a light, composite resin is applied to teeth to correct minor chips, cracks or separations between teeth. Unlike veneers which slip over the teeth, the teeth are first etched to provide a good surface for the bond, the bonding material is brushed on in layers, each one hardening is a few minutes under a high-intensity light, and the final layer is polished to match your natural tooth enamel. The whole procedure can be done one visit, unless there is a need for extensive bonding on several teeth.
- Root Canal TreatmentA crown is a cap on a tooth, often made of gold or porcelain, which seals the tooth following a root canal procedure or in cases in which the top of the tooth is broken or has to be removed. A bridge is one tooth, or a set of artificial teeth, that replace missing teeth and are anchored on each side to healthy teeth. Usually, at least two visits are required - first to make an impression of the tooth (or teeth) which are to be crowned, or prepared for a bridge, and then another visit to fit the new crown or bridge.
- Deep CleaningUnfortunately, the bacteria that cause tooth decay can work themselves under the gum line and cause damage that ordinary brushing and a professional hygienist's cleaning cannot remove. In this case, periodontal therapy may be required. This involves folding back the gum and deep cleaning the pockets of decay from the tooth. Several visits may be necessary depending on how extensive and deep the decay extends below the gum line. Dr. Schneider can examine and test your teeth and advise you about the need and extent of any indicated periodontal work.
- DenturesThere are numerous advantages of dental implant treatment over traditional treatment options. For instance, it is not necessary to grind down the bordering or adjacent teeth for a bridge or secure a partial denture to them with clasps that might eventually loosen the natural teeth. By utilizing titanium fixtures, people who are missing teeth may be spared the many problems associated with traditional false teeth.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are changing the way people live and are one of the most important advances in modern dentistry. Implant dentistry offers a patient who is missing one, several, or all their teeth an excellent alternative to partials or complete dentures. Dental implants provide the comfort, appearance, and function of natural teeth.
- Oral SurgeryTraditional dentistry addresses the health of your teeth and gums, cosmetic dentistry focuses on the appearance of your teeth. From subtle changes to major overhauls with oral surgery, there are a variety of cosmetic dentistry procedures that can treat teeth that are discolored, misshapen, chipped or missing. Below are the most common cosmetic procedures...
- Tooth Extractions
- OrthodonticsThe use of orthodontics helps bite and crowding issues, which helps to decrease the rate of cavities and gum disease. Scheduling an appointment with your dental professional to discuss your treatment options is recommended. If you want to get Invisalign, then ask your dentist. He or she knows what treatment suits your individual needs.
- Invisalign OrthodonticsWhen using Invisalign, it's easy to remove the aligner trays. Gently brush them with toothpaste and warm water before reinstalling in your mouth.
- BracesWe all know that traditional braces are a hassle to maintain. Whether you're eating out or enjoying a family meal, keeping your teeth and brackets clean is a pain.
- Teeth WhiteningThe Zoom! In-Office Whitening System usually only requires one visit. Dr. Schneider can professionally treat your teeth to remove the yellowing of age and external discoloring factors, and whiten them to restore a healthy, shining smile. The convenience of Zoom! compared to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for busy individuals.
