- General Info
- Grommet Collectibles began in 1999 with Randall Grommet selling knives at swap meets. After a year of this he was introduced to renaissance faires. At the faires, Grommet Collectibles became Fireblood Arms in a 900 sqare foot pavilion. Fireblood Arms enjoyed the friendship and patronage of the rennies and the guilds then and now. But renaissance faires are dormant for most of November through February, so Randall needed something to do during the down time. Fireblood Arms opened in San Diego on the floor of the Mission Valley Mall next to Ruby's Diner for the Christmas season in 2002. For Christmas 2003, Grommet Collectibles opened as an in line store in the Westminster Mall. That year the crew got spoiled by turning the key and going home instead of packing 8, 000 pounds of product, gear, and pavilion and driving several hours. Christmas 2004 Grommet Collectibles opened in two locations, Moreno Valley Mall, and Montclair Plaza. Today Grommet Collectibles is open full time, all year round, in the Moreno Valley Mall. Our store has more than 4000 square feet of blades, armor, accessories and garb. Fireblood Arms still travels to renaissance faires and other events. Together we are Grommet Collectibles presents Fireblood Arms and we are integrated so that our customers can order on line, by phone, in store or at faire and have layaway and credit card payment available through any of these. Since the humble swap meet beginnings we have served more than 100, 000 people; sword and knife collectors, reenactors, martial artists, interior designers, movie makers, hunters, military and law enforcement personnel and many others.
