      The Natural Gas Utility District of Hawkins County was established in the late 1950s to serve the natural gas needs of eastern Tennessee. With offices in Mount Carmel and Rogersville, we provide gas for residential and commercial locations throughout Hawkins County. Natural gas is nontoxic and does not contain any poisonous ingredients; it is also one of the safest energy sources available. With fewer emissions, natural gas burns cleaner than other fossil fuels. To help prevent gas emergencies, Hawkins County Gas Utility offers the following safety tips- --Keep your gas appliances clean, properly ventilated and regularly serviced. --Don't store combustible materials such as newspapers and towels near your gas appliances. --Don't use or store products with flammable vapors, such as aerosols, near your gas appliances. --Only use professional technicians for any gas-line alterations or appliance repairs. --Call Tennessee One Call (Dial 811) three days before you dig to set up a free consultation - it's the law. Our website provides historical information, payments options, answers to frequently asked questions and a glossary of gas-utility terms, so be sure to check it out. To better serve you, we offer several payment options including check, credit card, bank draft and budget billing, which allows you to pay in equal monthly payments.
