      Mexico Lindo imports fine folk Mexican arts and crafts, and is destined to become well-known for their exceptional selection of carved + intricately painted wooden Alebrijes (vividly portrayed animals, both mythical and actual) from Oaxaca, as well as the brilliantly colorful beaded masks, jewelry and yarn paintings of the Huichol Indians. Co-owner Jean-Pierre Nutini has a wealth of intimate knowledge of the mercados of Mexico; having spent much of his youth there with his family. He has a keen ability for finding the best bargains! As a result, we are able to offer you some of the choicest selections and the fairest prices for Huichol Art and Oaxacan Alebrijes. Here you will also find an astounding variety of crafts representing the traditions and arts of many of Mexico's indigenous peoples; such as pierced tin-work items and fixtures, Talavera ceramics from Puebla and Oaxacan black pottery, and the distinctive textiles and patterns of many regions, in a delicious array of clothing, blankets, rugs, pillows, wall hangings, placemats, mirrors, trays, baskets and leather goods. We will also feature a unique collection of handmade wire wrapped mineral jewelry and beaded necklaces, made by co-owner and Graduate Gemologist, Lisa DiGioiaNutini. In addition, we will carry the gleaming Mexican silver and gemstone jewelry that is renowned throughout the world for its distinctive appearance. Mexico Lindo also has a wonderful selection of items representing some of the most beloved and famous icons from Mexican and Latin American cultures, such as: Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, San Juan Diego, the Virgin of Guadalupe, Che Guevara, Emiliano Zapata, Maria Sabina, and items for the commemoration of the Day of the Dead. Mexico Lindo seeks to educate the general public about both ancient and modern Mexican culture, arts, customs and cuisine, and we have an excellent selection of links to Amazon.com for books, cookbooks, music and video, as well as many links to other sites of relevant interest. We hope to provide the means for others to create or enhance their home environment and personal collections.
