Today we had a service man com...

Today we had a service man come out that was very nice, but the surprise came after 7 minutes and no parts replaced. The tub on my washer was off-center and all they did was shoved it back in place. The job was complete, no parts to replace and no labor rates ever discussed. Then, he says your bill is $98 dollars after stating that the washer looks brand new and didn't need any WORK - say what? Less than 10 minutes, no sweat, no parts, no discussion prior to beginning about labor rates and hit with a large bill. We agreed to a $59.95 service fee over the phone - not be taken by a $98 fee - again no parts, nothing broken, only one push of the tub and thats it. NOT HAPPY!



Then, when you call in to state that you are not happy with the labor rate because nothing was broken and all they did was push the tub over, the lady became very rude. When I stated that I would have been okay with paying the service, but should not have paid the additional amount for 7 minutes of time she stated very rudely, "what do you expect, you got it fixed and the labor rate is not based on time, but by the job". Can you see where this is going?



If you ask to speak to the service manager Mr. Stevens, they tell you that he is out of the office and you need to call back tomorrow morning.



I would not recommend this company to anyone! I encourage you to look at other companies that will value you as a customer and not try to take you for as much money as they can. Stay away from their DOUBLE TRUCK - 2 page ads in the book that deceive you into thinking they will be an honest company that serviced the community since 1975. So much for believing that the local guy is someone that you trust not to rip you off in a close nit community.



I will be filing this with the state commission and hope that you find honest service somewhere else.

Worst repair experience ever!

The laundry drum on my 5 year old Maytag washer stopped turning about 3 weeks back. The brake-pack froze up, and after I got it loose and turning I bought a brand-new belt via the internet and replaced it. It stopped turning again on July 4th weekend. The drum was frozen solid, and the plastic drum-shaft pulley-was melted on the inside where it fits on the metal drum shaft from the friction of it spinning while the drum stayed in place. The belt was still in great shape. I personally inspected these items the day before this service call, saw the damaged pulley, and all parts were there.



I had to work and my wife was off, so instead of fixing this myself I called this company. The woman who answered the phone has minimal customer service skills. When I tried to give her the model and serial numbers for the parts she stated they have "fully stocked vans", and assured me the parts would be with the tech that arrived. I gave her the numbers anyway.



"Tom" arrived, and after about 15 minutes he diagnoses the problem as a bad pulley, and he doesn't have this item in his van so he would have to return tomorrow. He charged $49.95 for the service call, and the invoice said that the repair costs for parts and labor will total $255.00. (I still have the invoice #322288.) He then left and said he would return tomorrow. (Fully stocked vans my behind!) When I got home I spoke to my wife about the call, and my father in law located the parts that were broken (in the cam area, not just the pulley) at a local store. The total for the cam that froze up and pulley was $78.00. When it was time to install we found that "Tom" had taken the new belt with him, then they sounded "aghast" when my wife called to ask where the belt was, basically accusing us of losing it. I then had to buy another $30.00 belt as well. I cancelled "Toms" next visit.



Stay far, far away from this outfit! Utter garbage for service, worst repair experience I have ever had! I wouldn't recommend these folks to my ex mother in law on her worst day! Oh, and if you do use them watch your tech as they work like a hawk! I bet he was going to put the belt he took on and I was going to be charged for a new belt.

Rudeness

Showed up late despite the 4 hour window they gave us

Made my girlfriend leave the house to find him because he would not leave his van to try and find our apartment, despite directions that were given to him.

Rude to me on the phone, and to my girlfriend in person.

Left all of the our food out of the refrigerator and freezer when he was done

threw filthy ice chunks all over our newborns clean empty bottles.



Charged $150 to clear a hose out with warm water.





Seriously considering putting a stop payment on the check.
