      I had two bids for the same work, and this company was 65% less than the other company, and the work is guaranteed for ten years. Check out their website, as it really has a lot of great information. The owner is a firefighter, plus they are family owned and operated. They are definitely honest, and that was important to me. I highly recommend this company.

      I was told by another company that I had damage to my chimney. I live in Boulder and have a nice house, am a single woman, too, which makes me susceptible to many dishonest people. This company gave a second opinion and saved me over $2,000. It was well worth the $50 trip and inspection fee to find out that my chimney was just fine and didn;t need all of the work the other company claimed. I found this company through a referral, checked their BBB rating, too, and discovered they have an A+ rating with no complaints. They are also on Tom Martino's referral list, and they are the only ones. I feel good about recommending Josh to everyone I know.

      Our company is family-owned and operated. We have been "sweeping the metro area" with quality service and integrity since 1983. Rick Montrose and Josh Montrose, owners and chimney sweeps, include a visual safety inspection with every fireplace, woodstove or insert cleaning. Rick has been a professional firefighter since 1975; therefore, safety is our number one priority. If your chimney does not need cleaned, we will charge only a trip and inspection fee. We are honest, reliable and courteous. Our prices are very reasonable by industry standards. We are insured and as long-time members of the Better Business Bureau, we have never had a complaint. We pride ourselves in being on time, doing a thorough job and charging a fair price. We do not escalate the price of the cleaning upon arrival at your home because your chimney is too tall or too dirty. Additionally, if we find that a chimney is unsafe to use, we will offer recommendations. Birds occasionally fall into and cannot fly out of chimneys. Also, an ever-increasing number of squirrels and raccoons are finding homes in chimneys. We recommend bird screen for existing metal caps, or the installation of chimney caps for masonry flues to prevent animals from choosing your chimney as a home.
