      The Crown Point Fire Department provides fire suppression and prevention and emergency medical services. It operates fire, medical, inspection, and training and safety divisions. The department maintains a communication and dispatch center that coordinates responses to fire emergency medical services. The Crown Point Fire Department houses various apparatuses, including engines, ambulances, rescue trucks, squads, tankers, special operation trailers and brushes. It has a ladies auxiliary unit that provides assistance to firefighters during extended emergencies and fundraisers, as well as offers family support. The department also informs residents regarding fireworks and lightening safety and smoke detectors. The Crown Point Fire Department is located in Crown Point, Ind.
