      General Info
      The Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District, also known as SVID, is one of the largest government entities of Sunnyside Division in Washington. It provides irrigation services to more than 86,500 acres of land. The district serves clients in Yakima and Benton counties in south-central Washington. Founded in 1917, the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District offers irrigation water to landowners. It also maintains various canals, as well as a staff of over 70 employees. The district oversees the maintenance of nearly 170 miles of drains. In addition, the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District operates upper and lower divisions. It provides a stormwater management program.
