Drive in to Levine's Garage in New Windsor, New York, for our auto services. We specialize in computer diagnostics and auto repair and maintenance for domestic and import cars, light trucks, and small RVs. Our owner has always been a mechanic because that is who he is and not just what he does.

I have been going there for years. These are good folks and Steve and his guys are good mechanics. I only thought to write this because I read a negative review and saw how biased and petty it seemed. My girlfriend is on the way there now to get a flat fixed. She is comfortable there because Steve's wife is always at the front desk and she runs the show. My girl doesn't feel pushed around by a bunch of guys. Thanks for being there A, you are a gem.
Very disappointed. Have been going here for the past 5 years As a women I thought I found a reliable and trustworthy business. Last few times I noticed every minute of the mechanics time is now denoted by dollar amnt and closely watched by owners wife. If you are looking for an opinion on a car prblm, be prepared for 100.00 bill even prior to vehicle being fixed. Gone are the days of customer service at this shop and trusted repair. Now it is all about the money they can make off you. They don't fix foreign cars as advertised, but will run up your bill and tell you to go somewhere else. Primarily Oil change business, although hey put wrong oil in my car due to women at front desk lack of attention. Due to the need to make as much money as possible off the customer, they have become just like fast lube places.

This place is no nonsense. The tell you exactly what you need and don't take you for a ride. They do welding and save us money by actually repairing parts rather than trying to sell you an entire component like most dealer repair shops try to do. Over the years I've paid a little or a lot depending on the work required but I never feel like I've been taken advantage of. Never had to return to correct work that was done.

My car wouldn't start. My husband asked them to fix it, and to make it safe to drive. When I went to pick it up, they told me it would be way less expensive than we had thought, because all it needed was a new battery. They also charged the air conditioner and aligned the tires. Was told there was chassis damage that would need to be repaired in order to drive it anywhere other than locally... which I wish I had been told before I picked it up. As I drove away I realized my headlight was out on the side that had been damaged from an accident. I took it to another mechanic to see if it was due to the damage or due to a bulb and was told it was just the bulb. Levine's never even checked it, just assumed. The car does not drive straight, regardless of the "aligned tires". The next day, the car had difficulty starting. I finally got it started after a few tries, and when I called Levines to ask about it, I was told "Well, it started eventually, right? So we obviously FIXED THE PROBLEM"...

I brought my car to these people and the crank shaft needed to be replaced. They took almost three weeks to fix the car. When i got the car back it had a lost of power, it would not accelarate like it used to. These people at levines tried to tell me that nothing was wrong with the car. Bottom line... they finished & ruined my car.. and charged me for it. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone., Very unproffesional and they are CROOKS.

hi! they are great because of their low pricing. but... lately i made a tune-up on my car... and a month later i went for a new york state inspection,and the inspection computer was saying that the check engine soon light was on, because the wiring was loose, and this should have been fixed by a regular tune-up... so this was an expensive lesson! no more again
