Back in town for the summer and had lunch here today with two of my three kids and loved it! My son gets a serious headache if he eats food with food coloring. Thought the name of the place was odd, but gave it try....so glad I did! Everything was really good. I am thrilled to have a tasty restaurant where I can trust the food to be healthy and organic. They have a great kids menu. Great adult menu and the place is very cozy. The tv was on something that caused my children to say "hey, they're in a war"- it was a movie ad. Soon they were laughing, the TV had been switched to kids programming. The staff noticed and changed it. The fruit salad is amazing - they should sell it on its own. I took home some thai chicken cakes and potato salad from their prepared foods area. Both taste fantastic! If you want great organic food in Newport, RI this is your place! Check it out - you'll be a fan.

OK, maybe im spoiled from living on the west coast, but i think this place could do soooo much better if only their hearts were in it.. As grateful as i am to finally find some organic to-go options in Newport, the vegetarian/vegan stuff is not only lacking but really boring. It seems the cooks are not only uninterested in conscious eating but have never made veggie food until now. Also there are only have 2 or 3 superfoods actually listed on the menu.. ? how can you be a 'superfood eatery' if you have more meat, and baked goods than superfoods? Another thing, is that quinoa itself has become extremely unethical. Most quinoa is grown in Bolivia, when for centuries it has been a staple. Because of high global demand, the farmers and people who depend on this crop can no longer afford it... I hope this place does well, but perhaps finds a bit more inspiration.

So delicious! The area needs a place like this!
