Jason there is a sign on the front door saying no loitering..You have to purchase something within 15 minutes. It's a business.. we have bills to pay...It applies to anyone who walks in the bar not just poker players..Our Poker is free to play with cash prizes..We sell soda, coffee, bottled water & food...no one is forced to drink alcohol.

Jayson it's not illegal to ask someone to purchase a drink or food item in an bar it's a bar there open for business if you have no money your technically actually trespassing.

What a joke of a bar, they forced a good friends of mine to make a purchase in order to play they're "free poker game." She isn't a drinker and asked for water, they told her she couldn't okay the free poker game unless she bought a drink. I felt bad for her and bought her a soda, I'm pretty sure that's illegal to do that. Nonetheless, they made her feel horrible and embarrassed her. The staff is extremely rude, and the poker dealers are very unprofessional. Not a friendly atmosphere at all. Not a place I would recommend, a complete and overall horrible experience. Not a place I will ever return to, I'm completely appalled on how they treated my friend.

This place is walking distance from my house, so we went in tonight for the 70s night. After waiting about 15 minutes at the bar for a drink, while one bartender text the whole time and the other kept flirting with some dude who was nursing a draft beer, we decided to sit at a table and wait for a cocktail... hahaha!! This one kept going back to the same table, doing shots with them and then back to the bar to do shots with the bartenders! I couldn't believe it!! Here we are, ready to spend money and celebrate our Friday and CANNOT get served! The same thing happened last time, but at least there was the drunk owner that we all got a good laugh at! I can assure you that we will spring for a taxi to take us to a REAL bar with real bartenders that will be glad to take our money from here on out, and encourage everyone reading this to do the same!!

I was very hesitant to go and see lewis and floorwax the groove hawgs at this venue because of it's past reputation. I bit the bullet and went. Wow this place has changed ten fold!Great atmosphere, great sound and killer light show. I had a great night. I have since been back to @ Cheers twice since then and both times had a blast! CHECK this place out.
