To name a few, Dennis Banks (Leader of the American Indian Movement) – A 13 year battle to which Dennis Roberts ultimately won Mr. Banks’ freedom; the Chicago 8 Defendants – Of the infamous “Chicago Seven Conspiracy Trial of 1969-1970?; Angela Davis – Once on the America’s Most Wanted List, Ms. Davis was yet another famous case for the books of Dennis Roberts; the Black Panther Party – Also accredited to the vast number of famous cases Dennis has stood to seek justice for, an African-American revolutionary leftist organization achieved national and international impact through its deep involvement in the Black Power Movement and in U.S. politics of the 1960s and 70s, one such member Dennis represented was Huey P. Newton (1942-1989) who founded the Afro-American Society and was a co-founder of the Black Panther Party; of course we cannot go without mentioning the satisfaction and pride Dennis enjoyed from his work in representing the Farm Workers Union – Founded in 1962 by Cesar Chavez himself, the United Farm Workers of America is the nation’s first successful and largest Farm Workers Union, currently active in 10 states.
