Mission: The Advocate Is Dedicated To Aggressively Defending You Against Criminal Charges That Threaten Your Personal Liberty

General Info
Mr. Hartley, owner of The Advocate Attorney, L.L.C., has worked on a small number of cases as a public defender for Lehi City and currently works on all other cases as Private counsel, obtaining favorable outcomes for his clients. These include outcomes of not guilty, reduced charges, and dismissal. Mr. Hartley has been working in law firms since 2002 and focusing on criminal defense since 2006 when he moved with his wife from California to Utah (he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2005). He is a member of the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (www.uacdl.org), the largest group of criminal defense attorneys in Utah. Like The Advocate, UACDL is dedicated to promoting and protecting justice by supporting the defense of the Constitution and the rights of individuals. From 2007 to 2008, he had the privilege of working for a Fourth District Court judge as his law clerk and bailiff, which provided Mr. Hartley with exceptional legal experiences both in court, observing litigation, and out of court, writing opinions for the judge on civil and criminal matters. In 2008, while working for the courts, he also taught Criminal Justice classes at Provo College, assisting students interested in law enforcement. In short, Mr. Hartley enjoys serving his community in the public and private sectors as well as in academia.
