In the charming little town of Ojai, Azu is one of the best places to have dinner. A very warm and inviting atmosphere is matched with outstanding service and tasty food. Homemade gelato and a friendly, uncrowded bar make this establishment a great choice for groups of friends or more intimate dates.

Thank goodness Azu came to town. Azu is a welcome addition to the cuisine choices Ojai had available. We travel to Ojai frequently and we have eaten at Azu many times and enjoy the delicious food choices. The quality and taste of the food has been superb and the service delightful. No complaints here. The furnishings are cozy and have so much character. We love the bars and bar backs. A "Cheers" with class! Also, we have enjoyed private parties and special occasions where the entire restaurant was hired, and it went off without a hitch. Prices seem quite in line with other restaurants of this caliber. As we all know, prices are going up and the small businessman has to adjust to survive.

Our Ojai wedding took place on New Year's Day and we booked the entire restaurant for our reception. I grew up in Ojai, so I was completely confident about the quality of their food and atmosphere. I had to plan my the wedding while living on the East Coast, so I was apprehensive that working long distance with Azu might be difficult. Not in the least! I received phenomenal service from first to last. My guests (especially the 'foodies') raved about the quality of the tapas (served while we were having our pictures done) and couldn't give enough compliments on the buffet dinner that followed. The atmosphere was just what I wanted. We had about 75 guests and probably could have fit 100 without feeling too crowded. We had an open bar before/after dinner and dancing in the back room after the cake. If you are considering holding a reception here I cannot give a more emphatic recommendation. And if you run the numbers I am sure you will agree with me that the price is more than reasonabl
