      Chem Lab Products was founded in 1958 in Downey, California. The company began as a dry chlorine packaging company and added the distribution of accessories as the company expanded. In 1978, Chem Lab Products acquired a continuous bleach making operation and began to produce liquid chlorine and acid for swimming pools. Early in 1979 the company acquired basic injection-molded plastic manufacturing through the acquisition of the Pool Mates accessory company. During 1983, the acquisition of blow molding machinery for plastic bottles transformed the company into a fully integrated chemical packaging manufacturer. Household bleach and automotive products were added to the production lines as the company grew to better utilize the existing capacities.Today, Chem Lab Products is a diverse consumer chemical and plastic products company. The company sells both branded and private label products in the swimming pool and spa industry, as well as household and automotive industries. Chem Lab's customers are nationally known mass retailers with the reputation of selling top quality products to their consumers. Chem Lab has won many vendor of the year awards, primarily due to their products, safety record and complete on-time deliveries.Kem-Tek operates with a code of corporate values geared to help assure our customers' continued success.
