      Mariposa Women's Center is a nonprofit agency founded in 1977 and funded in part by the County Alcohol Program, as well as private donations. The primary objective of Mariposa is to provide a support and resource center for women whose lives are touched by the disease of alcoholism or other drug addictions. In an atmosphere of acceptance and nurturing, women are professionally evaluated and provided a program of individual and group counseling. Mariposa's programs emphasize education and prevention, and focus on women's unique problems. Located in Orange, Calif., the Mariposa Women s Center is led by an experienced and professional staff and an active Board of Directors representing the business and professional community.
