Love the food , but the staff are horrible ... There rude and unhappy people ! Need to be more friendly and appreciative!

Pros: food is good (crab legs, mongolian BBQ, fresh fruit) Cons: expensive, needs a refurb We've travelled all over the world (we are a military family) and this has been one of the better buffets (the one in Wichita Falls, TX, was by far, the BEST!).

Where do I begin? This place was one of the most awful dining experiences Ive ever had, and I have even stayed for an entire meal at Hometown Buffet. We walked in and the place smelled like sewage. That smell stayed in the air the entire time. The carpets, seats and tables are all worn and shabby, and grimy. The best thing about the food was the Sushi; the fish was cold, and the rice was fresh. Other food was not so lucky- The Egg rolls tasted like they had used pancake batter, the dumplings were hard on top, and mushy on the bottom. The Orange chicken tasted stale. The Mussels were horrific. They were covered in this hard, orange coating, they identified as "cheese". I saw many other foods that looked just as unappealing from the Chow Mein to smoked sausage (Is that EVEN CHINESE Food). The entire thing was like a punishment; I couldn't wait to leave. During dessert, my son said his ice cream tasted weird. So I tasted it... rotten milk. Horrible experience. My intestines are crying!

Very very BAD serivce. Will never eat at Blue Star Buffet ever again. Very bad experiance with the staff constantly being watched and once it came to pay all the families were over charged. Each family was charged for the meal charged for the drinks and a 15% for a socall reservation fee.

Food is good. They need to repaint the walls, they look old and dirty. The dining area is not well lit and the floor is sticky. Restrooms need to be checked and cleaned every now and then. More people would come if they made it look nicer.

Best Chinese buffet in Ventura County. Buffet includes personalized Mongolian, lots of fruits, salads,and desserts. Chinese chicken,fish and soups are great!

Outstanding Chinese buffet! One of only two that I know of in Oxnard and by far the best.
