These days youre lucky if you ffind a good dentistry

I'm just turning 50 in October 2009. And I have had terrible, nightmare, experiences in the past with dentists. so much so that I avoided it all together after awhile. Which wasn't very wise at all for me to do. Avoiding what's unpleasant, no fun, scary, expensive, or just too much to think about hasn't changed in all the year's I've been on this earth. It still doesn't fix problems. It did me far more harm than good by the time I found Dr. Gagne in Oxnard. At age 48 I first went to see Dr. Gagne because I had heard good things about him. Which were all modest truth's. I had also heard he was a sleep dentist for those who fear sitting in the dental chair like I did! So thinking I might have a few cavities and needed a serious cleaning, I was shocked but not surprised at his report on my over all condition of my teeth & gum's. I had put off the dentist for so long that what Dr. Gagne told me next just couldn't be avoided. And soon after I lost a good number of my adult teeth when they were extracted while being asleep! I felt nothing! even the pain afterwards wasn't as bad as everyone said it would be. And I healed great afterwards.. And I wish it stopped there but it doesn't. Now for my actual 50th birthday this year I will lose I'm told the rest of my teeth.. You can't turn back gum disease. your teeth have to have a healthy place to be anchored into. If I had known Dr Gagne thirty year's ago, I would be smiling @ 50 like i should be, my pearly own whites. And not some dentures that you'd normally figure someone 80 might have. His staff is cheerful, handles insurance like no one else does. New & modern up to date equipment, very clean dental office. And Dr. Gagne is gentle, and very compassionate with with his clients. And, NO I WASN'T PAID TO WRITE THIS, I'M NOT RELATED OR EMPLOYED BY DR. GAGNE. I AM A REAL LIVE PATIENT OF HIS.
