This is a decent salon, and the monthly fee is $20 for tanning (including the state tax). Anyway, you get what you pay for. There are always bulbs out in their beds because they use old bulbs, and its usually very hot in there if its nice outside. They don't turn the AC on until they absolutely have to! It's very uncomfortable tanning when you are about to pass out. I am thinking about trying the new salon in town that just opened, people said it is very nice!

I would have given them 2-3 stars, except when I went to quit my membership when going away for school, they told me to freeze my account so I wouldn't have to pay another initiation fee to tan there in the future. I ended up getting a job in Florida after graduation and noticed that they were charging my card again. I called them and they told me I would have to come in IN PERSON to cancel, which they failed to mention when I originally wanted to quit my membership. If you want to tan here, you pretty much have to get a monthly membership, because individual tans are expensive. When I tanned in their regular beds, there were usually dead bulbs, not uncommon for at LEAST 1 or 2 (i've seen up to 4) to be out. Often times they were bottom bulbs which would give me stripes of white areas on my back and legs. The only decent beds are their upgrade and ultra bronze beds, they actually take care of those, but you pay $$$ on top of the monthly membership.

I do not recommend Ultimate Tan! It is very difficult to discontinue your membership. You must notify them IN PERSON to stop your membership. This is a problem if you are away at school. They continue to charge your credit card until you can appear in person.

This place stinks. The girls are never at the front desk and there are hidden fees in their pricing all over the place. What a racket.

I signed up at this salon the other day and I think it is the best salon in the area. I have visited others and they all made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by wanting to tan. The ultimate tan has a bed that they call "ultrabronze" and I showed color after the first session..That has NEVER happened to me before! It usually takes at least 3 sessions before I show anything other than red.. The staff was more than helpful and actually seemed like they wanted me there. They showed me around and how to use the bed. This is definitely NOT your average "hurry up, tan, and get out" place like some of the others in my area. I will most definitely stay with them as long as they will let me tan there...lol...Bravo to the manager/owner of The Ultimate Tan, you definitely know how to run a business even in these hard economic times!!!

I visited this salon today. Customer service was great! They showed me around and what my options were. They have a great selection of lotions and equipment. The girls at the counter were very friendly and helpful. The salon was clean and welcoming. I will be telling all my friends!
