Do not take your car here for anything. It seems legitimate, the employees are nice, prices are good...and then you get the "work" done. Took my car in for an oil change. Paid my bill and left. Everything seemed fine. Then shortly after that I noticed a large puddle of oil in my driveway. Called to make an appointment and told them of my problem. They said to just bring it in. As a precaution I filled my car with oil and drove it back. They called me back later and told me that they put the oil plug in wrong the first time and they corrected the issue and to come pick up the car. I picked it up and they didn't charge me...or did they? The next morning I went to start my car and there was a very loud knocking/metal rubbing noise. Hmmmmm...this never did this prior to losing all of my engine oil. So off I went to a reputable dealer for a diagnosis. They did a check and found significant engine damage. I told them what happened and would return to the shop responsible so they could further fix their error. Well...what a shock. They started to blame the car manufacturer as a systemic problem with the engine and they had nothing to do with it. So I asked for them to submit the paperwork and complaint to their insurance company. Week went by (another week where I was without a car) and no call from anyone. I then reached out to "Corporate Customer Service" which we find out is Monro Muffler out of Rochester, NY. A company in which I have a long good history with, as well as my family, as we have always received great service on all of our vehicles. Finally it goes to an insurance representative 1500 miles away. After many more days I called very respectfully and calmly. Here's a shocker, they say that it must be a coincidence that there is significant engine damage, even after the car lost all of its oil. Apparently they can go back in time from afar and pinpoint all of this while disregarding the fact that engines need oil to run smoothly. So here I am with a damaged car that I will not drive, because a dippy doo can't put an oil plug in. So your $30 oil change can actually cost you $3400 in engine repair. DO NOT GO HERE! Take your vehicle to a reputable place that backs up their work and their service. Thank you for nothing
