Far better than any quick cut place and I like the free drinks when waiting. Hair wash and head massage is awesome and hair cut is good. My wife gets her hair colored there and cut. She tells me when she goes into the salon sometimes, but I don't really listen. She looks good though so they must be doing a good job.

The salon is going downhill, front desk is prissy, gossipy and unprofessional, the prices are overpriced and stylists have limited knowledge and training. Go somewhere else!

Great people, great service and great atmosphere. I have been going to this salon for years, ever since it was Androlis and now Christopher J. Becky, Chris, Tina and all the other stylist are excellent and great at their jobs. Becky is my favorite, I usually either get a color treatment or some other type of treatment that she knows how to handle. She is very informal and listens to what you want. Her input is very important as well because she knows what she is doing! You can't go from jet black to platinum blonde in one sitting and expect it to turn out flawlessly. Over all if you are considering this salon take the great reviews for what they are and doubt anything negative said.

I have been going to this salon since it was Androli's in wayzata. There is one stylist who has always been rude and snobby. She unfortunately will always work here because her husband, (my favorite and best stylist) is part owner. There are plenty of great people here, and some not so great. Just like any other salon there will be people you like and dislike. As far as the front desk, this also applies. I find now all but one are exceptional. If you are not liking an experience you had here, call and explain the situation to the front desk, if they are unable to handle it ask for Jay, he will ALWAYS find a way to make you happy. In over 20 years I have never been dissatisfied. I have never seen a salon treat their customers as well as they do here (Give and take the few bad seeds you find EVERYWHERE)

I've been seeing Becky for a year now and love her! She never overcharges me and I always feel important. Yes, she does have an assistant, but I believe that is only because of how many clients want to get in with her. She's always booked so that's gotta be a good thing!!

Horrible Salon! The only way the stylist treat you right is if you spend a lot of money with them. I had Becky and paid for Becky but instead for most of the time I got an assistant. Becky was so unprofessional and cared more about her clients that forked over more money than I was paying. And yes my hair still looked the same as if I would have gone to Fantastic Sams. The front desk was horrible and so unprofessional. They were so clueless at what they were doing. I will never be back and I do not recommend you going either

Christopher J's salon is by far the cleanest, friendliest salon I have ever been in. The front staff is professional, the stylists are amazing but Becky is the singular best color stylist I have ever utilized and works miracles! Chris gave me the best hair cut could ever hope for. I will most definately refer my friends and family and continue to look forward to my future experiences.

Great Salon and Atmosphere. Amazing Front Desk and Stylists, Outgoing stylists who I always hear laughing and having great relationships with their guests. The only thing I noticed is sometimes it gets packed and because it is a smaller salon that's just the way it has to be!! I would love to see Christopher J Salon expand.Either way - The small disadvantages of their sometimes being a small jam during high peak business hours, I see the employees efficiently handle it very well and quickly, and they always keep up the good attitude!!Best customer service I have EVER had in a Salon

from the moment i walk in and am greeted by kind smiles to the time i walk out i have an amazing time at this salon. it is a smaller salon, but very inviting and friendly. every employee seems happy to be there providing customers with great looks. my stylist always helps me with any question i have, as well as provide me with tips to bring home. i trust the peple here! i have had a hard time finding that anywhere else. i am a lifer- dedicates to christopher j salon!!

I'am new to the area and was searching for quite some time for a stylist. Low and behold my search ended in the chair of Chris. Not only was my hair awesome but he knew right away what look I was going for. I'am so happy that my search has ended in such a warm and welcoming enviroment.

I am not sure what is happening with this salon. I have been going here for a couple years now and it seems like their customer service is going way down hill. I was just in here the other day and the receptionist new nothing. The blonde one was so rude and the little brown haired one knew nothing. Obviously they do not care for their customers or the appearance of their salon. There was dust every where and the coffee station was gross! I used to love to come to this salon when they had decent workers, but now because of the front desk I will be looking for services else where. When you call in and it seems like an inconvenience for them to book you an appointment, they don't deserve my money.

If you want amazing color go to Emily at Christopher J Salon! I have gone to her for years and referred all my friends to her and she has always done a wonderful job! By far the BEST colorist at that salon !

I've been going to Becky for a long time and every time I have received a wonderful color. She always listens to what i want and i always leave very happy!!! I would recommend her and the salon to everybody!

This was my 2nd time seeing hair colorist Becky. I was not happy the 1st time...she colored my highlights blond when I wanted a light brown. The effect was skunky hair contrast against my black hair. I had to spend more $$$ to get it corrected from another person. I decided to give her another chance since the salon is close to my job. So I went in to color my hair carmel brown. I came out with 2 different hair colors: orange hair color on top and dark brown below. :(I could not tell the damage until I got home. The salon has dark lights so it is difficult to see the true color of my hair.I will NEVER go back to Becky or this salon again. As far as I am concern... this salon was voted the best in MN Monthly I give it a zero. Go somewhere else and save your time and money.

Heard raves about Kate Lynn and was not thrilled with my cut. Nice salon though.

I have been here a few times and absolutly Love it! I dont agree with the bad review that someone wrote about being put on hold. Its just like any other customer service place. There are only so many people one person can help at once. I have been in customer service for many years and when there is just one person answering many phone lines chances are you might have to hold! Hanging up and Calling back just makes your wait longer as the calls are taken in the order they came in.

Great service, always greeted nicely when I enter, offered hot or cold beverages. Easy to make appointments. Tina is super! Wonderful scalp massage when getting shampooed melts away your tension, and her cuts are the best. I have been going to Tina for a couple years now and have never been disapointed. I went with my mom to get cuts by some NAHA (North American Hair Association) winner of years past who way overcharged us and my cut was not as nice as Tina 's magic!

Been there since its opening. Nothing but great things to say. My wife has even switched salons. She drives from Burnsville! Says it is the best.Sorry, but I do not think that the other post accurately describes the norm there. Not that I doubt her experience, but anyone can have a bad day.
