Dr. Mazurenko is a talented and caring dentist. He has been treating me for years and I have always been very pleased with his services and professionalism.

I have been a patient of Doctor Mazurenkos for eight years now so I think I have enough experience at this point to post a fair review of his work. I think Dr. Mazurenko is an excellent dentist that truly cares about his patients and does great work. I have addressed some cavities over the years and had Dr. Mazurenko change some old silver fillings to tooth colored fillings, as well as having him fill a few new cavities I have managed to get over the years between my teeth because I do not floss as much as I brush. I have not had any problems with any of Dr. Mazurenkos fillings so far and I am very pleased with his work on that end too. I also had a root canal and crown put in for a tooth where the cavity had reached the nerve of the tooth and the tooth was no longer salvageable. I have not had any pain or problem with that root canal or porcelain crown since and that was eight years ago. That root canal and the extreme pain I was having because of that tooth was the reason I went to see Dr. Mazurenko in the first place. My wife had Dr. Mazurenko put implants in for two missing teeth and is happy with her new teeth too. I feel Dr. Mazurenko is very knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist in a convenient location. I also have more flexibility scheduling appointments at his office than I have at any other doctors offices.

I went for my regular cleaning and check-up. Kay the hygienist is excellent at what she does. I'm a big baby when it comes to going to the dentist, but she put me at ease and before I knew it, we were done! It is always a pleasant experience for my family and I going to Dental Arts of Portland.

Phyllis: Dr. Mazurenko placed veneers on my front teeth about three years ago. They look and function as good, actually fantastic, today as they did then. Before I had this done, I went from forcing a smile (and then being embarrassed about it) to smiling constantly. Smiling is really contagious. I'm also noticing that people around me are smiling more. I you have any doubts about your smile, believe me, investing in an improvement is worth every cent. By the way, I thought the cost was kind of high at first. But, seeing the extra steps Dr. Mazurenko took, it was actually well worth it. One of my co-workers had two veneers placed by her dentist about one year ago, she has chipped her lower teeth three times now. I referred her to Dr Mazurenko. Thank you Dr. Mazurenko, for seeing me on your lunch break to take care of my emergency. I don't normally write reviews because it is obvious that anyone can write whatever they want, true or not. But I felt had to write about the great care I have gotten from "Dr. M" . This time around I had an accident at work early in the morning. I got hit on the mouth and two of my front teeth broke and they were jagged and sharp. So I called the office and the receptionist said the day was all full, she put me on hold and then came back to tell me that No Problem, the doctor will see you at noon. What a relief! So I came in with my broken teeth and he did what he had to do. I am a big chicken when it comes to needles but with Dr. Mazurenko, he is very gentle. I came to Dental Arts after had neglected my dental care for much longer than I care to admit. At first, I was very uncomfortable about finding a new dentist. Dr Mazurenko's patient reviews as well as the sheer number of reviews spoke volumes to me. In 2007, I finally made the call for an appt. Dr M and his staff were very understanding about my nervousness during my first visit. He is an unbelievably gentle dentist who is careful to stay in tune with the patient's needs. If he sees that you might be in the slightest discomfort, he asks how you are doing and if he sees that you need him to stop or give you a break, he does. Hhe is also very particular about the quality of his work. I was getting a crown and when he was placing the crown in place, he wasn't satisfied with how the lab had made it. Hhe ended up sending it back to the lab to have it made again so it fit properly and to his satisfaction. The entire staff is very kind and puts you at ease in a very relaxed atm

Over the weekend I had multiple cavities flare up causing considerable pain. Monday morning my wife called Dr. Mazurenko and I was in the chair that same day. My cavities were treated temporarily with required antibiotics. I picked up the prescription Monday evening after work! Excellent service! Coming back to finish my dream plan! I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Mazurenko was very considerate if I felt any type of discomfort. I was really pleased with my experience.

I have the highest regard for Dr. Mazurenko and his crew. Convenient location near the Maine Mall. Beautifully restored building as the office (not some old haunted house/apartment). Consistently pleasant doctor and assistants. Dr. Mazurenko has great credentials, he doesn't do unnecessary work, and he's thorough, helpful, and confident in explaining all procedures. Insurance claims are consistently filed on time. Snail mail and e-mail appointment reminders. I was referred to him by another of my service providers, and I've now been going to Dental Arts for my cleanings and dental work for several years. Given the great service and pleasant surroundings, I expect to be going there for many, many more.
