      Established in 1961, LifeWorks NW is nonprofit agency that offers community-based prevention, mental health and addiction-related services. It provides counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, family relationship and adolescence issues, parenting difficulties and Alzheimer s disease. The agency also offers substance abuse treatment assistance. Its prevention services include detection of warning signs and creation positive attitudes.In addition, LifeWorks NW conducts training programs that feature medication management and activities for older adults. Headquartered in Portland, Ore., the agency also maintains locations in Hillsboro, Beaverton, Gresham and Tigard, Ore.
