Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital is a community-based medical center that provides a range of health care services for children. It is a full-service 155-bed acute care facility that offers various pediatric emergency and primary care services. The hospital provides treatment solutions for patients with heart problems, cleft palate, dental infections, diabetes, eating disorders, mental illnesses, blood diseases and cancer. It specializes in the areas of hospice care, rheumatology, neurology, pulmonology, minimally invasive surgery, oncology and cardiology. The hospital offers diagnostic, cancer screening, physical examination, health evaluation, treatment planning, medication, rehabilitation and consulting services. It additionally provides counseling services in cases related to substance abuse and domestic violence for children and their families. The hospital is a part of the Legacy Health System, which is an Oregon-based, nonprofit corporation that operates more than five full-service hospitals and clinics.
