      The Division of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology at Rhode Island Hospital was established to evaluate and treat individuals with brain-behavior disorders, to conduct neuropsychiatric research, and to provide education on neuropsychiatric disorders. Neuropsychiatry addresses the overlap between brain and behavior. Specialists provide consultative evaluations for inpatients and outpatients at Rhode Island Hospital. The neuropsychiatric examination provides a clinical assessment and treatment recommendations coordinating the neurologic, psychiatric, neuropsychological, and psychosocial domains.
