      Dr. Sean T. Canale, MD, FACS, is an experienced physician and general surgeon at Carolina Breast Care Specialists, PA, in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in oncoplastic breast surgery. Dr. Canale received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He went on to complete an internship and residency training in general surgery at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Jefferson, Louisiana. He also finished a residency program in general surgery at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.As the only private breast care specialist in the area, Dr. Canale brings a personalized approach to women and men in his care as opposed to a hospital-based practice. With advanced training in breast issues like cysts and breast cancer, Dr. Canale offers a wide range of services including mastectomy, breast biopsy, and lumpectomy. He also provides same-day and next-day appointments as well as second opinion consultations. Dr. Canale is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and licensed in the states of Louisiana and North Carolina. Hes affiliated with Duke Raleigh Hospital and UNC Rex Hospital. When he isnt caring for his patients, Dr. Canale loves spending time with his children and weimaraner, Dixie. He also practices traditional tae kwon do and is a Carolina Hurricanes fan.
