Navigant Consulting is a specialized independent consulting firm that provides litigation, financial, health care, energy and operational consulting services to government agencies, legal counsel and large companies. The company focuses on industries undergoing substantial regulatory or structural change and on the issues driving these transformations. The company was founded as The Metzler Group, but after acquiring several companies, such as Peterson Consulting and Barrington Consulting Group, changed its name to Navigant Consulting in 1999. Navigant continues to add breadth and reach to its range of client solutions through strategic acquisitions. Navigant has more than 1,600 professional consultants and more than 2,000 total employees with a presence in more than 35 United States cities, including an office in Rancho Cordova, Calif., along with international offices in London, Toronto and the Czech Republic.
