In 1998 Amphastar Pharmaceutical acquired International Medications Systems, Limited, a manufacturer of sterile injectable pharmaceuticals for domestic and international markets. Amphastar Pharmaceutical expanded again in 2003 through the acquisition of Armstrong Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of metered-dose inhalers and nasal spray products. The company was founded in 1996 maintains an excellent regulatory/cGMP compliance record.
