      General Info
      Children s Home Society, located in Rapid City, S.D., provides a variety of home, school and therapy programs to children between ages of 4 and 13. It offers services to children suffering from emotional and behavioral problems and substance abuse and neglect. The center organizes adoption programs, protection services to the victims of domestic abuse, and emergency shelter services and consultancy to women and children. It also manages a children s inn that provides crisis help line, counseling and outreach services, and parenting and community education programs. The center also provides foster and adoptive parenting programs, employment opportunities and services to women. It offers diagnostic assessments and short-term care, day schools, on-site foster home and child advocacy. The center additionally organizes special counseling programs for people facing abuse and neglect, aggression, sexual victimization, and attachment and bonding problems.
