Our party of 6 was stuck in Raton during the Blizzard of '06. The staff here was exemplary in their service and cooperation. We encountered medication shortages, transportation issues and even a hospitalization and at every turn the staff here at the Best Western was more than willing to do whatever we needed to help. They offered laundry facilities, rides to the hospital, pharmacy, and train station. they allowed us to remain in one of our rooms on the day we checked out until way past checkout time (our train did not leave until evening). From the time I was a small boy, I have been involved in business and know what is involved in "customer service". Believe me when I say that you will not find better "customer service" anywhere at any price. These people really, genuinely care about the welfare and livelihood of their customers. This is the best place you could ever be "stranded in".
