Dr. Julia is extremely professional. I had some lengthy, time-consuming work done by her and she made sure that I was comfortable in addition to making sure that I was pleased with the work.

I am surprised that Dr. Fundeanu has received negative comments. I have found her to be an excellent dentist. She is conscientious in her work and reasonably prompt in getting me into the chair at the appointment time. She also has a knack of finding the perfect spot to deaden my gums, if needed, in the care of my teeth.



It is true that she doesn't spend time chit-chatting, but that is not from rudeness; it is because she focuses on getting her work done in a timely manner. I take no offense at that. Social chit-chat isn't important to me. I am a busy person and I want my visit to be started at the assigned time, done quickly and the work done well. I have found Dr. Fundeanu is able to do that, and I appreciate her consideration and care of my teeth.

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! I went there for a first time visit and will never be back!!! The only nice person in the office is the lady at the front desk (I think her name is Angelina). This poor lady puts up with way too much from this dr./dentist. The dentist (Dr. Fundeneau) was very rude and so was her other staff/dental assistants. Very unprofessional to say the least. The dental assistant walked out of the office we were in into another office and continued to talk badly about our dental situation and who we had been seeing previously and we could hear everything. The office is atrocious. And there's all kinds of rude signs everywhere...no food, no kids, no kids sitting in chairs since the office is too small, "clean up after yourself". Just not a friendly place to be. The entire time the dr. was talking very degrading to Angelina (while patients are sitting right there). The dr. also talked this same way with the patients. It took everything I had not to tell her where to go. She is old, crotchety and needs to retire already. DON'T GO THERE!!! I wouldn't even giver her or her office a 1-star rating.

When discussing the treatment that my son needed with the dentist ( Julia. F) she came across as rude and grumpy. Never did she introduce herself or smile once. She's very cold and not very approachable. This was the first time in years that my son was unease about going to a dentist. It's shame that my insurance had to change and chose to take my son there. I will never go back. Good luck if you go.

It had been a while since I had dental treatment so upon receiving dental insurance, I chose this dentist because of her convenient location, mainly. This was one of the stupidest decisions I have ever made. I arrived and the desk staff was very welcoming but things didn't seem right... I took my xrays in a room that seemed to have decades old paint an there were cardboard boxes stacked high in one corner of the room. The xray technician (I think she was a student) did not put a lead vest on me. I came back for my cleaning and she had been fired. The staff tried to convince me to get a deep cleaning and to purchase an "in house" anesthetic that would cost an additional $100... She ended up giving me a root canal and the crown did not match the rest of my teeth. It was also a VERY expensive procedure and crown. I have since moved away from Riverside and visited a much better dentist. He said the root canal was "suspiciously done", an infection is beginning, and I was referred to a specialized endodontist (nerve dentist). I came back to yellow pages, almost a year later after this mess, to write this review so hopefully people will not make the same mistake I did. Please, do not go to this dentist.

Never go to this dentist... I have alot of respect for most people i meet, but none for people that have no respect for others. and after doing research and seeing other reviews i realize i should have picked a dentist more carefully. I told her what was on my mind for sure, but this lady will talk down to you, be completely and utterly rude, and put u in an environment u just dont want to be in. and i read that everyone she sees, she recommends loads of work to, same with my hubby and I. DONT go here, you WILL regret it!

My experience with this dentist would take days to relate. It was horrible on so many levels---pain, communication, all aspects of a dental experience. I am, and always have been, scared of the dentist. Because of an insurance plan change, I was forced to change dentists and decided upon Dr. Fundeanu because of location. I have never had so many teeth drilled in my whole life. As a non-professional, I was agreed to accept her advice that all of my fillings were not done well. Therefore, I relented and visited her week after week to replace all of my silver. There were many times that there was not an assistant and Dr. Fundeanu went from room to room working on another patient and myself. This led to my anesthetic wearing off and to extreme pain. After re-filling all my old silver, I was told that I would need numerous crowns. How could this woman fill all my teeth and then see more work to be done? Outrageous.

That was it. I quit and a few months later I was sent a bill asking for more money. I thought I was all paid up, so why would I owe more? I don't know because when I asked for a detailed summary, none came. No wonder all of her assistants lasted only a short time. I am simply amazed that she has any patients at all. No one needs to put up with this attitude, the pain and the money.
