Our Mission and Purpose The mission of Miller-Motte Technical College is to help students acquire the essential career and personal skills and the knowledge necessary to secure initial employment in their chosen field. The following purposes are integral to the mission of the College: * To maximize educational opportunities through fundamental and specialized studies. * To develop in students a professional attitude and awareness of contemporary business and technical practices through exposure to theoretical and applied knowledge and skills. * To graduate students who are competent, both in their chosen job skills and in basic interpersonal skills. * To provide students with a support system that recognizes the individual needs of each student. * To recruit and retain highly qualified instructors who are effective in the classroom and are familiar with current business and technical trends. * To maintain an organizational system that regularly monitors workplace needs and is dynamic in its response to those needs. * To assist graduates in securing employment in their field of study. Our Campus Joining just one other Virginia (Lynchburg) campus of Miller-Motte Technical College, and becoming the 40th in the Delta Career Education Corporation system, the Roanoke campus is one of the newest and most exciting in the MMTC family. The campus is poised to be the city's most exciting learning community with a potential of 600 full-time students. The 28,000 square foot facility offers administrative offices, computer and medical labs, classrooms, a massage therapy clinic, a cosmetology clinic, a learning resource center, a bookstore and a student lounge. It is a state of the art facility in a closed campus environment. Plentiful free parking is located in the Tanglewood parking lots. In addition to the offerings within the building and the shopping complex the Roanoke campus is conveniently situated between Towers Mall and Hunting Hills Retail Center with many nearby popular establishments such as Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, Outback Steakhouse and a number of other dining and shopping favorites.
