Counseling at Oceanside Community Services is not your typical counseling where you just talk. Jonathan & Julie tell you up front that they can't fix you or your problems. They will point out to you what they hear from you & what they observe from you & it's up to you, the individual to want to help yourself & change your thinking process & your behavior & how you can react to somethings that are said to you & how you feel. I found that by following the behavioral cognitive therapy, (BCT), for me, has been beneficial cause the past is the past & nothing can be done about the past except changing your thinking about the past. We are responsible for our selves & our behavior, no one else. We do not have to continue to play the victim & blame others for our shortcomings. Today is a result of our choices that we have made from the past. It is our choice to behave & react in a negative manner or a positive manner. I choose the positive thinking & behavior. I am in control of me.
