Find another physician or get a patient care advocate!

Dr. Lyons demonstrated deficiencies in quality of care, patient care risk, hospital rights and respectful/professional behavior. For five days under his care my child remained in the NICU untreated and undiagnosed with an intracranial hemorrhage with right temporal lobe hematoma and extensive subdural hematomas with seizures and apneic episodes. Although signs were apparent hours after birth he did not order proper tests and only spoke to us (the parents) twice during her 10-day stay. Thankfully Dr. Lyons had a day off and the physician who filled in ordered the appropriate tests and called in an outstanding neurologist to manage her care. This experience and his lack of treatment (and mistreatment) negatively impacted my family forever.
