      Dr. Susan Barrett is hospital director and owner of Watt Avenue Pet Hospital and has been in private practice in the Sacramento area since 1981. Dr. Barrett graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. She has a special in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, including feline declawing & cosmetic ear trimming for show dogs/pets and uses state of the art pain management, internal medicine, general surgery, cardiology, and provides behavioral consultation as well as reproduction and pediatric consultation. Dr. Barrett is an AKC Breeder of Merit of AKC champion Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for 20 years. Dr. Barrett enjoys educating clients how to care for their pets and counseling them on solutions when their pets are ill. She goes the extra step and shows them how to care for their pets from puppies to seniors, including proper grooming, how to brush their teeth with an electric toothbrush, proper nutrition and what dog food to buy. She counsels her clients on the pros and cons of spaying and neutering and keeping the hormones for health, uses minimal and core vaccines and recommends medications and flea and heart worm products only when needed and only the safest ones available. Watt Avenue Pet Hospital provides medicated & flea baths for dogs and cats with mild sedation if needed and prides itself on conditioning & healing of the skin and usesstate of the art Cytopoint for allergic dermatitis. Dr. Grady Wills has been with Watt Avenue for 15 years and has over 35 years experience. His special interest is advanced dentistry, general surgery and internal medicine....WAPH also has a board certified cardiologist, radiologist and 3 board certified surgeons who work in the hospital as needed. We pride ourselves on providing medical solutions and well pet care with knowledge, compassion, and affordibility for all families. Our doctors attend at least 20 hours of continuing education a year and Watt Avenue is a certified member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
