      Allison Harrington Sirakos, MD, is a skilled board certified gastroenterologist providing expert care in San Antonio, Texas, at the Gastroenterology Clinic of San Antonio. Dr. Sirakos manages all gastrointestinal disorders but has expertise in colon cancer screening , liver disease, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other disorders of the gut-brain interaction. After earning her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Sirakos relocated to New York, completing her internal medicine residency at New York University (NYU) Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan. Dr. Sirakos returned to Texas to finish her gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During her final year of training, she served as the chief of education. Dr. Sirakos is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and holds a license to practice medicine in Texas. When it comes to patient care, Dr. Sirakos takes an integrative approach, combining traditional medical care with innovative techniques and complementary therapies with the overall goal of improving quality of life.
