Went there with the Family and have to say the food was not good at all. It tasted reheated and not fresh at all I stay away from the sea food beacuse of the feeling i had that if the cook food was not fresh i did not want to guess on that. We went on a Sat night and the place was half empty at dinner hour.

Disgusting. The health department should close this rat-trap. Not worth visiting, now 3 of us are ill while on vaycay. Once I tasted the first luke-warm bite I should have stopped my family, but we were, in a word, hungry. I hope to send them the bill for dinner, the hotel, and the mess.

this place suck!! I will never come back here. the food is very old and it is a dirty place to eat. I wish I has seen the reviews before I came. ... I'm sitting at the table weighting this review its that bad

We ate here last night and both my daughter and I were sick with vomiting and diarrhea. We will never eat here again!!!

I am only giving this place a star because I have too. The food was awful, everything taste frozen, and heated up. The floors were horrible and my family picked over our plates. When I told the owner that I was not really pleased with the food, he looked at me and told me not to come back there. He at least could have asked me what was wrong and how he could fix it or what they could do better. Never going here again! 30.00 wasted

I have been to this buffet a handful of times (maybe 4?) and the first few times it was so-so. Food was ok; nothing to write home about but it was cheap and served its purpose. There were a few items that you wouldn’t normally see on a Chinese buffet, like Italian chicken…Who knew? Every time we’ve gone, their white rice is crunchy and sitting out on the buffet, how does a Chinese place have bad white rice??



Last night (10/12/2011) my significant other and I decided we would try the buffet again. We got there around 7:45 and much to our surprise is was fairly empty, maybe four or five other tables and that was it. I was thinking that we might be in for some stale food but much to my surprise everything (except the white rice) looked pretty good. We sat down with our food, took a few bites and then I noticed on my boyfriends plate that there was a long piece of black hair coming out of his spare ribs. We called the waitress over and she ended up calling over the young lady who I assume was the manager on duty. The manager explained to us that it’s hard with a buffet to make sure that the food stays clean and that sometimes things like that happen. She didn’t even seem to care and just blamed it on the public, seriously? I explained to her that I understood that things like this tend to happen from time to time but it was not ok for us at this moment to continue eating our food as we were both pretty grossed out. I let her know that we would not be paying for the three or four bites of food that we had each consumed. As we are walking out she tells us that we don’t have to pay for the food however we had to pay for the one Coke product we ordered and had barely touched. I let her know that it was absolutely ridiculous that she would charge us for the .25 cents in coke syrup that it cost them to give us this drink. I took my time and counted out the change, $1.28 to pay them for their soda. Mad doesn’t even begin to cover it.



I let her know that we would NEVER be coming back and that I will be sure to let everyone I know not to take their business there. I come from a long line of customer service type positions and I would never in a million years make a customer pay for a soda if they had a bad experience like we had, especially when that soda didn’t cost them anything in the first place. We might have gone back and chalked this up to “stuff happens”….but now we definitely will NEVER go back.



So, my advice if you go to this buffet; be sure you check your food for long black hairs! OH!...and stay away from the crunchy white rice!

I have suffered from food poisoning too many times to be a sucker for a flashy name. My family went to this restaurant and the food was so-so. Typical americanized chinese food. BUT... the cold items (ie. cold shrimp, sushi, etc.) were not actually cold to the touch. This makes me very wary. Plus the hot items cannot be guaranteed to be at temperatures that won't make you sick. I witnessed the staff dumping newly prepared food on top of older food that had already been sitting out for who knows how long. This is a breeding ground for salmonella and listeria! The rules are that new food goes in new food serving dishes. My food was lukewarm at best.



The service was not very good at all. We walked in and didn't exactly know what to do. Do we sit ourselves or do we wait for a hostess that is not there? Once seated, we served ourselves food from the buffet but yet waited for 15 minutes for drinks. My kids were already on their dessert by the time anything to wash it down with came around.



I am a big believer in tipping graciously for great waiters because it is their job and they need that income also. But I hate the idea of giving money away to someone who literally had 30-60 seconds of interaction with me and we served ourselves. Needless to say, I tipped super low. I do this to prove a point. If you leave no tip, the server can think you forgot. But if you leave an appropriately sized tip for service then the server knows that they are also being graded by their customers. Food for thought.

This Chinese Buffet is the best in sanford. The restaurant is beautiful as are the waitresses. the food is so good and so varied! Great Wonton soup!! Always a pleasure to eat there!!

I usually don't like buffets but I tried this place and the food and the service was excellent. It was some of the BEST Chinese food I have tried and it's has NO MSG but it tastes GREAT.
