Today, I went it to My Tire Store 2 to have my front tires replaced. Jason told me that my brakes and shocks were bad (shocks leaking and brakes at 5-10%). I let him know that I would take my car to my mechanic. A short time later, he told me that the tie rod was bad and had his mechanic show me that the tire was moving in a way it shouldn't. He warned me that it was dangerous to drive my car home (which is 3 miles from the shop).I took my car to my mechanic immediately and had him check it out. My brakes have about 45% left, my shocks are fine, and someone loosened the bolt on my tie rod (removed the pin, loosened it, and replaced the pin). My mechanic could not say who did it, so it is entirely possible that the mechanic at My Tire Store identified a dangerous problem that he did not cause. However at least 2 of the 3 recommended repairs were not necessary, so I can no longer recommend My Tire Store 2.When I called the shop to let Jason know that he may have a problem with his mechanic, he lied to me and said that he never said anything about the brakes and that he stands behind his mechanic. It's quite unfortunate, because honest mechanics don't need to lie about repairs. Customers come back again and again, because they appreciate honesty.Take from this what you will. They did a good job with my tires and had a fair price. I have no problem with the work they did replacing my tires. I do have a problem with a shop using scare tactics to sell unnecessary repairs.

Jason has gone out of his way several times to get me in for emergency repairs, once on a Sunday which is usualy by appointment only. They are always fast and effecient at a good price. Barry - Santa Clarita
