- Medical Weight LossHigh levels of insulin associated with obesity interfere with ovulation and also worsen PCOS symptoms. Minimizing insulin resistance via a healthy, safe weight loss regimen is a common first step for patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome who want to make conception more likely. Insulin regulating medications may also be prescribed. Some women are able to begin ovulating more normally at this point and may be able to conceive naturally.
- Nutritional CounselingPremium Surrogacy will be there for you and your surrogate at every step of your surrogacy journey. We’ll be in close contact with your surrogate during pregnancy and assist her with all obstetric appointments. The surrogates will continue monthly support meetings with a psychologist. Additionally, surrogates receive nutritional counseling and delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the pregnancy.
- Family PracticeYou now know how crucial your health is as an egg donor. But did you know your family health history is important as well? Intended parents are very interested in your family history as this will be the genetic legacy of their future child. Not only will intended parents want to learn about the health of your parents and siblings, but they will also want to know if you have any risk factors for inherited diseases like certain cancers or mental health disorders.
- Male InfertilityIn general, infertility is due to male factors one third of the time, female factors one third of the time and both one third of the time, so men really represent half of overall infertility cases. When we check for male infertility we look at the semen analysis, and that comprises sperm count, motility – that’s how they are swimming and how they are shaped that’s called morphology. If a man has a normal semen analysis, he is probably fertile, but not in all cases. My advice to most men is to live a healthy life meaning eat a normal diet, stay within ideal body weight be moderate in alcohol intake, not smoke and not surround the genital area with prolonged heat exposure such as long distance bike riding.
- Infectious DiseasesSince the embryo will ultimately be transferred to a surrogate, the FDA requires that sperm providers be screened for infectious diseases within 7 days of giving sperm. This includes a questionnaire, a physical examination and blood tests for STIs such as Hepatitis, HIV and Syphilis among others. At Santa Monica Fertility, we make the directed donor screening process quick and easy by performing all tests at one visit. Sperm frozen within 7 days of performing these tests becomes “qualified” and can be used at any time in the future.
- GynecologyUntil recently, few practices have had the experience or capability to offer this service. Egg Freezing Center at Santa Monica Fertility, however, is at the vanguard of egg freezing technology. Dr. Jain is a leading expert in egg freezing research with broad experience in all areas of fertility treatment. He completed his medical training at the University of Southern California, where he remained for nearly a decade as a tenured professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His egg freezing work there earned him international recognition as a pioneer in the field and has translated to outstanding results for our patients.

- EndometriosisThere are some other conditions that cause fallopian tube blockage, such as pelvic surgery and also endometriosis […] fallopian tube openness or patency can be determined by a test using dye in which we put dye through the uterus and fallopian tubes and take x-ray pictures. One of the most devastating conditions we see is recurrent pregnancy loss, that’s where women are able to conceive and carry the pregnancy until eight or ten weeks and then lose the pregnancy over and over again.bOne of the reasons for recurring pregnancy loss is uterine cavity abnormality such as fibroids, muscle tumors, polyps which are little growth, scar tissue or birth defects that that woman was born with in her uterus. Fortunately we can treat a lot of those uterine factors as it relates to recurrent pregnancy loss using surgical modalities.
- PregnancyBecause surrogacy involves pregnancy and childbirth on behalf of another individual or couple, we screen potential surrogates carefully. The path to become a surrogate is guided by our team, who has years of expertise in the field. There are several surrogate qualifications that you must meet before we can move forward with your application.
- Labor and DeliveryCare around the clock: Our surrogacy team provides 24/7 support and care, including labor and delivery support.
- Ovarian CancerI was diagnosed with a rare case of ovarian cancer at the age of twenty. I had both of my ovaries removed because of the cancer, and went through several months of chemotherapy. Since I didn’t have ovaries, I could not produce eggs, but I was still able to carry children. For years I have feared that I would never be able to have children. I knew that I could try in-vitro fertilization and that my two sisters could be egg donors. But the thought of being able to conceive seemed so unreal and impossible.

- Mental HealthEvery surrogate at Premium Surrogacy undergoes an extensive surrogate medical, psychological, and socio-economic screening process to ensure they are in the best possible physical and mental health, as well as living in a stable, safe, and nurturing environment. In most cases, all this happens before we share surrogate profiles with our intended parents. We are strict in our selection process accepting less than 5% of surrogate applicants. We communicate with potential surrogates regularly throughout the screening and matching process to ensure they meet our standards of care.

- EndocrinologyOur industry leading Egg Donation Program is run by Dr. Jain, who is truly an expert in the field of egg donation. He completed his training in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California, the location of the first successful egg donation cycle in 1987. He remained at USC for almost a decade as a tenured professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology during which time he published a landmark article in the Journal of the American Medical Association on egg donation in women over fifty years of age. More significantly, he helped pioneer the next generation of egg donation using frozen donor eggs. He was also instrumental in creating one of the first frozen donor egg banks in the world. Dr Jain has developed our inhouse egg donation program in order to provide the absolute best outcomes and care possible, to both intended parents and egg donors.

- UltrasoundThis is a set, basic, guaranteed pay that all surrogates will receive and it is currently $50,000 in California and $40,000 in all other states that we work in. If you have been a surrogate before, the compensation for a 2nd time surrogate and compensation for a 3rd time surrogate increases significantly. Paid monthly, typically the base surrogate compensation payments will begin on the first of the month following confirmation of pregnancy by fetal heartbeat via ultrasound. Payments will continue every month as long as you are pregnant, with the remaining balance paid within 14 business days after birth.
- X-Rays
- ChemotherapyOver 50,000 reproductive-aged women are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments typically lead to infertility by destroying the eggs. While options vary depending on age, type of cancer and cancer-treatment plan, egg freezing can provide these women the opportunity to preserve their fertility.
- VasectomyMen who have had a vasectomy and want to have more children can either have a vasectomy reversal or have the sperm harvested directly from the testicle or the holding tank near the testicle called the epididymis and that’s because vasectomy is a procedure where the ejaculatory duct is blocked surgically.
