In 1969 I was in a very bad car accident, breaking both ankles and arms. I nearly lost my right foot, and there began many surgeries - first an ankle replacement which was very new (breaking after 5 yrs) and then an ankle fusion and later foot fusions. I am 3/4 of an inch shorter on my right side. My orthopedic surgeon recommended Shane's and what a life saver! I have had both dress shoes and walking shoes done with a lift and a rocker sole. I am totally happy with Shane and the work he does. Many people don't notice the lift and I am able to walk without limping, even though my ankle does not bend, thanks to the rocker sole. I hope they never go out of business!

Over the years, I have had various insults and injuries done to my legs and feet - starting with a car accident 15 years ago that caused permanent muscle damage to my lower legs, then a battle with MRSA and diabetic infections which resulted in amputations of 1/2 of my right foot and about 1/3 of my left foot. In spite of many disappointments with orthotic shoes, a friend convinced me to at least come in and talk to Shane.I decided to try one more time. Shane's created a set of custom orthotics for me. For the first time in over 4 years, I am able to walk with confidence without the walker I had needed, or even a cane!. I no longer take daily pain pills or narcotics. I have been able to walk where ever I need, including using stairs with confidence. I am even more comfortable driving.I had hoped just for some minor relief from pain, and maybe a little more balance. Some minor improvement in my situation. Instead, I received a miracle. Shane's gave me my life back.

I went in on a Saturday many months after my doctor had referred me post foot surgery and had forgotten to check to see if I needed an appointment time. I should have had one but they said I could wait or schedule and come back. I chose to wait and they had their hands full with other people.



One thing that stuck out was the staff helping an elderly woman with her walker that had gotten a little damaged when she was getting out of her car. She was upset by the whole scenario but they were patient and nice and got her some water and let her calm down. Once she was settled they took care of her shoes and she left happy. I waited for about 30 minutes or so and then saw Shane who is the owner and he made me orthotics and got me into some new shoes that felt good.



Overall, it was a really neat experience and it was just nice to see people actually caring for other people. I will go back again when I need some new shoes and maybe even just to thank them.

Loving Shane's and all the cool shoes! My cousin referred me to go in and YAY!!! Cool peeps and lotsa shoes to choose from for my trip to D.C. SO psyched up about my new shoes and even my work shoes!!! I can stand all day on the hard floor and no more tiredness. As a bonus, the leather is easy to clean so the coffee grounds come off easy. I have been going to Shane's for many years and the service and selection of footwear is magnificent. Debbie and Shane have always treated me with respect and kindness. I was so pleased when their daughter came into the business. What they do is really quite unique and they are all just very sweet. I have been saddled with hammer toes and bunions and been to a few doctors in the past that wanted to do surgery and I wasn't very enthusiastic about doing that. I tried several brands of footwear that was insufficient prior to finding Shane. I am so thankful to have these people in my life and they have always provided me with care and high quality items to assist in keeping me mobile.



I wear PW Minor shoes with velcro and lovely and warm wool slippers that Shane chose for me. I have a pair of boots and also some summer shoes from them as well. A number of years ago I started having some issues with my back from a fall and Shane had me try out a simple support for my shoes, after a couple of weeks I went back and told him it had helped but I needed more support so he custom made me a pair of orthotics and refunded my money for the off the shelf pair. He always accomodates me when I explain what I am feeling.



I am quite pleased with the service and this family that just cares about everyone so much. One of these days I am sure their backs will tire from all the up and down to help all of us in need, but until that day comes I will keep going back for more.

When you walk through the door the people are friendly and they always greet me with a smile. They pay attention to the shape of the foot, and the shape of the shoe. They bring out choices for me, nothing is rushed, every detail is taken into account and they spend time making sure I am comfortable. They took care of my metatarsals and made sure all my needs were met. Plus I have the freedom to come back in if I need any little adjustments. Fantastic customer service and great shoes! I have happy feet!

I ran the 400 meter I had track spikes from another store that broke apart after one lap, maybe I was too fast for them. haha. Shane fixed them for me so I didn't have to buy a new pair and also made improvements to them. I then ran the 400 in 60 seconds AND went to state and placed first in districts. Also he helped me into a pair of Brooks running shoes that I could do my long distance training runs in and my feet felt great. After I graduated high school I decided to buy a cute pair of Nike runners and I ran in them, what a sad day that was. My feet felt like they were burning. I went back to Shane and he put me back into the right shoes for me. My feet are happy now and I plan on keeping them that way.

Seriously, I was having major issues with my soccer shoes and Shane worked some magic and pazow! I scored 2 goals the following Saturday and am pretty happy with myself. I owe my grampa $5 because I said nobody could help my arches or toes and he said Shane could do it. It was totally worth losing the bet for!
