General Info
Founded in 1990, Centro Tepeyac Silver Spring Women's Center (Centro Tepeyac) is a nonprofit Catholic agency, under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe, serving greater Washington, DC area women and men in pregnancy-related crises and offering them a meaningful alternative to abortion. Although the center was founded to provide assistance primarily to Hispanic women and their families, it serves all persons in need. At Centro Tepeyac, we believe that there is an inherent dignity in all human life. Our counseling is gentle, charitable, compassionate, truthful and informative. Following the example of Christ’s love, we seek to meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs, enabling and encouraging women to choose life. We provide pregnancy testing, referral services, confidential counseling, sexual integrity education, parenting information and post-abortion guidance. All services are free and confidential and available in Spanish and English. Our Mission We dedicate ourselves to saving unborn children and their mothers and fathers from abortion by reaching out to women one-on-one and recognizing their emotional, spiritual and physical needs. Our Vision Our vision is threefold: - First, to save unborn children and their mothers and fathers from abortion - Second, to eliminate the conditions that contribute to crisis pregnancies by encouraging self-respect, chastity, prayer and, when possible, the leading of a sacramental life - Third, to counteract the abortion industry’s targeting of Hispanics in the Washington, DC area by deepening and strengthening pro-life convictions and by promoting the Catholic faith.
