      American Veterinary Hospital is a progressive companion animal hospital located in Simi Valley. Founded in 1988, American Veterinary Hospital has long been known for its excellence in medicine and its outstanding customer service. Under the leadership of Luis D. Cruz, D.V.M., the experienced doctors and staff of American Veterinary Hospital remain dedicated to delivering expert state of the art medical care with a personal touch. American Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. Over the past eighteen years, we have served the pet care needs of Simi Valley, Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley. American Veterinary Hospital's expert services are also utilized by local law enforcement and local county agencies. Our hospital provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with specialty practices when adva nced diagnostic procedures are required. A board certified surgeon and critical care specialist is available for in-house consultation. This state of the art facility includes a well equipped surgery suite, in-house radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We are excited to announce our new laser surgery capabilities as well. Any surgery can be done now with laser, and we offer the advanced laser declaw.
