      Operational for over 88 years, Volunteers of America of the Dakotas is a nonprofit organization. Based in Sioux Falls, S.D., it serves troubled youth, families without childcare, against addiction and the adolescent. The organization serves approximately 45,000 people of all ages through its six program areas, children, youth and families, mental health, employment, training and disability, housing and homeless, community enhancement and substance abuse and prevention. Volunteers of America, Dakotas caters to the communities of Aberdeen, Brandon, Rapid City, Pierre, Watertown and Sioux Falls.
