5 stars is not enough! This is not a typical pet store! They specialize in RESCUE PETS!! The owners and staff are true animal LOVERS and are dedicated to finding these rescues loving furever homes. I have always receive the best customer service.

While they do rescue animals locally, many come from Kentucky, Tennessee and other southern states. *ALL COSTS* for transportation, vetting and attention until pets find new homes are covered by the owners, simply because they care. There are no subsidies or fundraisers to assist them as there may be at local shelters.

Great full line pet shop plus tons of natural pet foods,.. even raw. Lots of interesting pets too. Dogs, cats, small animals, fish, birds, reptiles and aquariums. They offer expert service and show a genuine love for animals. Nice shopping an independent shop with good customer service.

It's a bit of a drive for us to get to Critters from West Chicago, but we sometimes go out of our way to go there! You can tell that they really spend time playing with & getting to know the pets that are there. And, they always have great answers to any questions that we have.

I highly recommend Critters Pet shop! They are a knowledgeable staff, and their prices are very good. If anyone is saying that the pet shop is disgusting is dead wrong! I'm sure the first two reviews were from other competitors, because what they wrote is far from the truth. They keep real good care of all their animals. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years, and that's because of the quality of the pets they have. I call Critters on any problems that I have, when it comes to my pets. Not one time have they steered me wrong. Plus the guarantee all their animals and they have no problem taking anything back. Also if your in a pinch they will tell you to bring in your sick animal in (if they room) to see if they can get your pet back on its feet or fin again.
