Quite possibly the worst post office in America. It's as if they don't want you to come back and bother them again. Clerks are nasty, unhelpful, and overall just unhappy.

I have to agree with the other reviewer, this PO is one of the worst. I send a letter with a passport registered and with return receipt. Never got the return receipt, and when I went back and asked whats going on, the nasty post master told me I can contact the receiving Po and ask for my return receipt.

You got to be kidding!! I paid for this service and never got it!! There are only a couple of OK people working there, the rest is slow, low speaking and totally unhelpful - customer service is a word that is foreign to the USPS - and this specific PO is the worst!!

Yes the post office in South Plainfield was renovated some years ago and is a beautiful 24 hour/day facility but the people who work there remain as surly, unhappy and discourteous as ever, The majority of them truly seem to dislike their jobs and seem impatient and resentful when asked for help. The rare times I have to go to the PO I will go to the one by my work rather than the SP PO which is within walking distance of my house.

This Post Office is awful. I will NEVER ship or mail a letter from here no matter what. Theyt have lost THREE! yes THREE packages of mine! And the Postnaster is pretty nasty too. She absolutely refused to even give me a dollar back on a package list here- and was too lazy to do any tracking at the other end. What a shame! Now I use UPS ALL THE TIME! I triee to give no stars but the site wouldn't let me.

One woman was so mean. I was in line waiting to buy stamps when she said, anyone getting stamps use the machines in the front. I tried to buy the stamps from the machine but they wouldnt come out.......The same women, acting really discusted when i told her, goes over to the machine like i was doing it incorrectly. Well, of course, it still wouldn't come out when she tried, and proceeded to tell me it was empty and went to go in the back to get them for me and never returned. She had such attitude that it was hard to believe.....Where do they get people like this? She should stay behind the scenes and not be serving the public.

They have incompetent employees - mail is constantly delivered to wrong addresses - when you go to report this - no one is willing to correct the problem - South Plainfield Post Office is nothing but a big joke - I can't believe these employees receive paychecks. No stars here
