      Established in 1972, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center is a social welfare institution promoted by Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Presbyterian Church. The various services provided by the center include health care, human, housing and food assistance. It provides emergency shelter to people suffering from mental health disorders, substance abuse and disabilities. The center also offers a variety of youth development and educational programs. It operates a learning center and charter school. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center organizes a variety of community outreach programs, such as women s health, family education and child care programs. It also conducts various events, including sports competitions, parent meetings, and health and job fairs. It is located in Springfield, Mass.
